When you mention the on board Logic drum sounds do you mean the drum kits that come with Logic. Because if thats the case I am already using one of Logics kits SoCal. If I created my own kit I would have to record audio which isn't an issue apart from the fact that I prefer recording midi as I have always found it easier to edit, quantise etc.
